Cookie Notice
Last updated: 2026-04-11
Short and sweet. We use cookies, but only the kind that actually help you use the product. No ad networks, no behavioral profiling, no creepy follow-you-around-the-internet tracking. Here's the full rundown.
Essential cookies (the only kind we set)
Auth session cookie. This is how we know it's still you after you sign in. It's set by Supabase, our authentication provider, and it's a secure, HTTP-only cookie that expires when you sign out or after your session times out.
Tier cookie. A small cookie that caches your subscription tier (free, pro, lifetime) so we don't have to hit the database on every request to know what you have access to. It expires within the day.
CSRF token. A standard security cookie that protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery attacks.
These cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for, which means under the GDPR and e-Privacy Directive we do not need to ask for your consent before setting them. If you block them, the app won't work.
What we do not use
We do not use Google Analytics. We do not use the Facebook Pixel, the TikTok Pixel, or any other social advertising tracker. We do not run third-party advertising cookies. We do not fingerprint your browser. We do not share cookie data with advertising networks or data brokers. We do not sell or rent any cookie-derived information.
For product analytics we use first-party, server-side logging that never leaves our infrastructure. It's tied to your account, not to a tracking cookie, so there's no profile of you built up across the web.
How to disable cookies
Every major browser lets you block or clear cookies from its settings. In Chrome, Edge, and Firefox it's under Settings → Privacy. In Safari it's Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data. If you disable cookies for birthdaypro.io you won't be able to stay signed in, which means the app effectively can't function for you. There's no workaround — sessions have to live somewhere.
Questions?
If you want to know exactly what a particular cookie stores, or you spot something that looks out of place, email hello@birthdaypro.io and we'll tell you what it is and why it's there.
