Refund Policy

Last updated: 2026-04-11

We want you to love BirthdayPro. If it isn't working out, we want to make it painless to part ways. Here's exactly how refunds work on each plan — no surprises, no hoops.

Pro Monthly — $2 per month

You can cancel Pro Monthly at any time from /settings → Billing. Once you cancel, your subscription stays active through the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again.

We do not offer prorated refunds on partially-used monthly periods. If you cancel on day 20 of a 30-day cycle, you keep Pro through day 30 and nothing is refunded. To avoid a charge for the next cycle, cancel before the renewal date — you can see the exact date on your billing page.

Lifetime — $20 one-time

Lifetime is a one-time payment for lifetime access. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase — if you change your mind within 30 days, we'll refund the full $20. After day 30, Lifetime purchases are final and non-refundable, since by that point you've had a month to really use the product and we've already treated you as a permanent member for planning purposes.

Failed payments

If a renewal charge fails — expired card, insufficient funds, a bank hold — Stripe will automatically retry the payment over the following few days. If the payment still hasn't gone through after the retry window, we'll send you an email and automatically downgrade your account to the Free plan. Your data is never deleted when this happens; your Pro features simply pause until you update your card and re-subscribe.

How to request a refund

Email hello@birthdaypro.io from the address on your account with:

Your order ID (you'll find it on the Stripe receipt that landed in your inbox), the plan you purchased, and a one-line explanation so we can improve. The "improve" part is optional but deeply appreciated — we read every reply. We aim to respond within 2 business days, and once we approve a refund Stripe typically returns the money to your original payment method in 5 to 10 business days.

Statutory rights

If you're a consumer in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory cancellation rights, this policy is in addition to — not instead of — your statutory rights. If local law gives you a better deal than what's written above, local law wins. Always.
